Guidance Center Project Featured in The Bradford Era

by Carolyn 13. June 2012 17:21

Jack Kirk (project manager) and Todd Acton (field supervisor) were featured on the front page of the Bradford Era yesterday.  A summary of the article follows.  Kessel Construction is proud to be involved with this local project which was designed by Habiterra Architecture out of Jamestown, NY.  It has been a very successful architect driven project and Kessel continues to seek these types of projects as well as design build projects.

The Guidance Center Wing Nears Completion

The current Guidance Center structure was built in 1993 after the North Bennett Street Building had been destroyed by a fire and is now located on Campus Drive. The new wing addition to the Guidance Center promises space for family and children’s programming at the center, a much needed addition for the agency which has grown immensely in the last 20 years. The number of programs the Guidance Center offers has quadrupled since its opening and the new 6,000 square-foot addition will hold a receptionist area, restrooms, a conference room, and several therapy rooms. It will also be home for programs like the center’s autism program, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Early Intervention, as well as other family and children’s services.
